Society for Computers & Law 2003 Award - Runner Up

The easyconvey.com Electronic Conveyancing Suite of software incorporating CASA, Track-A-Matter, FeeSearch and our On-line L@wyer Instruction Service was selected as a runner up for the Society for Computers and Law 2003 Award for the Most Outstanding Application of Information Technology for the Law.

The award evening held in the Law Society’s Common Room was chaired by Lord Saville, President of the SCL and hosted by Carolyn Kirby , President of the Law Society. Andrew  Levison, Chairman  of the Awards Panel gave a presentation  including  an  overview  of  the solutions of the four finalists.
 

Richard Susskind OBE gave the key note speech entitled “Clicks and Mortals” in which he reminisced about the incredible changes in information technology over the past decade. Changes which have resulted in e-mail, the internet, world wide web, text messaging and much more becoming essential tools in the modern office. Richard looked at the way in which law firms have embraced technology to enhance the service their practices are able to provide to clients.

Dominic Cullis – Easy Convey’s MD said "This is a huge pat-on-the-back for the years of hard work which has gone into developing our software. To be recognised in this way by industry experts is fantastic. Thank you to a great team."

The evening started and ended with an exhibition to provide delegates with the opportunity to see first hand the solutions which made the final. The other finalists were Automated Registration of Title to Land (ARTL) by the Registers of Scotland Executive Agency, TotalSpeach by the winners BigHand and Visual Files by Solicitec.
