Easy Convey software to include new module for production of Home Information Packs (HIPs)

Latest breakthrough from e-conveyancing experts will allow law firms to produce HIPs for a variety of different introducers

Easy Convey Ltd (www.easyconvey.com), a leading developer of electronic conveyancing products and services, has today unveiled a new module for its Conveyancing Administration Software Application (CASA) that will allow for the generation of Home Information Packs (HIPs) from within the application itself.

The new module gives CASA the ability to import all of the documents that are needed to produce the HIP, no matter how they have been generated. For example, searches and Home Efficiency Reports that are received as email attachments or downloaded from websites, as well as scanned guarantees supplied by the firm's client, can all be imported and saved directly into CASA.  In fact, CASA facilitates this process by offering a scanning function that enables guarantees, warrantees, and other printed documents and booklets to be included within both the matter history and the HIP.

After all of this HIP information is imported into CASA, an easy-to-use software wizard will combine all of the selected documents into a standard format HIP, complete with the law firm's or introducer's own branded front and back cover and index pages.  The HIP generator produces the completed HIP as a password-protected PDF document, with numbered pages and a customisable watermark on each page. The complete document can then be uploaded to a website, sent as an email attachment, burnt to CD/DVD or printed.

"For years, CASA has provided increased efficiency and streamlined web integration for lawyers and licensed conveyancers who want to stay ahead of the competition," says Dominic Cullis, Managing Director, Easy Convey Ltd.  "Our easy-to-use HIP generator will now give these conveyancing professionals the ability to become independent HIP providers to any number of introducers, which will lead to greater revenues, as well as a higher profile within the industry."

CASA can assist lawyers and licensed conveyancers with all areas of conveyancing administration.  It is the first electronic conveyancing application to provide automated case tracking, and to integrate with all three NLIS Channels. The application can be used to generate letters and to complete forms and other documents via automated workflows, all with the added convenience of making sure that information only needs to be entered into the system once.

Instructions for the HIP can be generated via Easy Convey's Web-enabled On Line Lawyer Instruction service, which automatically downloads instructions directly into the software.  Users will also be able to track the progress of the HIP process online by using the Track-A-Matter service.

In addition to this breakthrough in HIP production, law firms and licensed conveyancers can now also use CASA to submit their Inland Revenue SDLT returns electronically and to print the certificate immediately on acceptance of the submission.  Previously, the need to use printed forms sent via the post meant that this process could take up to four weeks.  However, by using CASA to manage this same information electronically, the process now takes just minutes, with the submissions guaranteed to be correctly formatted and completed.

CASA is ready to use immediately, and is supplied with 11 workflows, as well as with all associated letters and documents already installed.  All workflows can be easily modified and new workflows can be added at any time. The software even provides an automated fee estimate - complete with bill and financial statement creation - to provide unbeatable speed and accuracy.
